Nice picture. It seems that you like coffee Italian style!
I would like to hear some of your experience with the M8, because I like your film work very much!
The joy of using it and where you will take it. (I hope I get the point, not so good in english)

it's not easy to say,
but using the m8 is like photographing on film.
I'm not quite shure if it's my way because my film work is my favorit way to take photos.
I owned some other digital cameras, D2H, D70 & D200,
but with them I wasn't able to take single shots I always tried more and more versions and in the end I wasn't shure wich was the best one.
The M8 is aequivalent to the MP,
you have to be concentrated on your subject and you have to learn wich is the best condition to expose the photo.
But fortunately you can do a lot in lightroom,
wich is like a analog darkroom.
It's an other way of passion and much more silent then DSLR,
but very expencive!

Thanks for the picture, quite amazing!
How good is the finder? I own a rd-1 and the only thing I dislike is the finder and for shure the time I try raw developing. In the end I lmostly take the camera version.
Beside thanks for the tipp with foma film. Realy nice. Did you develop it in Xtol and what time do you use for the 200 asa?
Will you keep the M8?

the viewfinder is good,
I think the MP finder is a little bit better.
If you're used on SLR finder your first impression is not the best,
but when you're familar with the RFF it's ok.
RAW/DNG developing is not a problem,
try Adobe Lightroom, you'll need nothing more.
Did you got tipps realy from me?
I didn't use fomafilms with 200 ASA.
I use mostly the fomapan 100 and develop it in Rodinal,
the mother of developers,
1+50 and a little less agitation.

Taking pictures for hobby and my wife would say, spending to much money for gear. And try to learn from expirend people like you.

Your coffee shot is classic. It demonstrates the reason I cringe when ever I see a post on a RF form, where someone talks abut using a flash on any RF camera. One of great Leica photographers, Ted Grant, has never used a flash on his M cameras. He has made thousands of prints and has won numerous awards. high ISO with the M8 is an special kind of photography,
compared to high ISO shots of Nikon D3 and other DSLR it's bad,
but used for art and creativ it works great
the last days were full of testing

I have over 200 high ISO shots done in theaters, with a RF. I agree the art factor speaks for it's self. Ive sold many books with examples like this.
