Hi all,
with great pleasure, I am now part of the CV family! Whoohoo.
I purchased dreilly's R3A and Jupiter 8 kit, and it came in today. It's a sweet camera, and like others I was surprised at how small the camera is. The Jupiter also had a nice feel to it and the optics looked great.

In the afternoon, I shot some quasi scientific test shots, which I will share with you all:

Wow. Sharp. With all the posts about the incompatability of Russian lenses, these knock my socks off. Was the Jupiter adjusted for leica mount, or were shims used or is it "plain"? I have a decent Industar 61, but feared going for another Russian lens, the J9. Any info you can share is appreciated.

HI Jim,
I'm glad to be the vehicle of your surprise.
I'm not sure if this Jupiter was modified or not. I'm looking at it now, and my untrained eye tells me it's not modified. Best to pm dreilly, the RFF'er who sold it to me.
