Hi,

I picked up a beautiful Yashica Mat 124G at B&H today and couldn't wait to get home to read the instruction manual so I picked up a roll of Ilford Delta 400-120 and loaded it right there in the store. Now that I read the online manual, it seems that I may not have lined up the film to the correct "Start" mark. I think I lined it up to the 220 "Start" mark. Is this a big deal? Does it just mean that I may have waisted a frame or two?

Thanks.

Michel

It shouldn't make too much difference. Don't use the last frame on this roll for your sister's wedding or your son's first haircut. I've done it before and it was no big deal.

Since the numbers printed on the paper backing do not appear through a red window on the back of the 124G, lining up the starting point is meant to insure the exposure counter is correct. So if you are off by a little bit, you might run out of film. Really though, I think the difference is slight. More likely the numbers on the negatives will not line up normally, as they will start before the first exposed frame.
