Hello I from Russia. I like to photograph and very much I love rangefinder cameras. In my collection is zorki 4, Kiev 3, prominent 2, yashica FR1, jupiter 8,9,12, Industar 61 L/D. I am glad that there is a place where it is possible to communicate to fans which love rangefinders. In our country many people shot SLR and digital cameras, and who is not enough of those loves old russian cameras. I love old Russian cameras and with pleasure them I repair, I sell some of them on ebay. I shall be glad with you to communicate. I am sorry for my English.

Welcome Vitgur!
Don't worry about your English - seems to be quite good (and we are an international community here, so nobody is worrying about that, anyway).

Welcome aboard. Your English is fine.

We also have a "35mm Classified" section here. I am sure that many repaired Russian cameras could find good homes through it. Also a number of forum members like to do "Do-It-Yourself" repairs and would love to have some pointers on repairing Russian cameras. If you take some pictures of a repair job, we would love to see some posted in the repair section.

Vitgur,
Welcome! These fine folks share their experiences and love for RF cameras of all vintage and countries of origin. If you can, share some photos of where you live.

Welcome Vitgur! I guess you are the person to ask if I want to buy Russian cameras! :)

Privet, Vitgur! Your English is fine...much better than our Russian, but some of us here know a few words. Welcome to the group, droog!
Poka,

Welcome, Vitgur! One thing I like about this forum is the diversity of the people here, we come from all over the world! And don't worry about your English. Your English is much better than my Russian. :)

How is the weather in Siberia this time of year? We are stuck in the summer swelter here in the NE USA.

Welcome to the group.

Welcome, Vitgur! This is a fine international community of rangefinder fans and many of us love and use Russian rangefinders!

Hello from sunny Southern California. We have a few Russians and Russian cameras here.

Enjoy the forum. I think you will like it here.

Let me join everyone else in welcoming you here. Could you tell me about the prominent camera. I don't remember ever hearing that name before.

Dick

As a retired language (Spanish) teacher, I have to congratulate you on how well you do in English. Considering how different Russian and English are, you do well. I'm totally out of it when it comes to Russian. One camera I ordered came with an instruction book, which is in Russian, and I can only guess what it's trying to say.

By now there must be almost as many Russian cameras in the U. S. as in Russia. I have a pretty decent collection, and I'm not sure I'm through yet.

I understand Siberia is rather cold. Do you have to specially treat the cameras?
