Thanks Ashwin! Always value your assessments.
It does appear a bit soft at the wider apertures, very gentle and warm colors. Reminds me of the 75 Summilux wide-open.
A modern antithesis to the ZM 1,4/35.

Kudos. The lens sure shows fine character. I admit I had to laugh at seeing it mounted on a CL..... i get it..... scale reference

Oh yes. Looks made for the gorgeous M-10. Price not super steep, but not pennies either. I'll see what's left of me ($$) when the Planet Bummer is over.

The improvement in size is going to sell this new lens more than any other improvements... man... so tempted

I'm seeing a big pin cushion distortion on this image.

Ashwin, thank you VERY MUCH for your effort!
These samples just deliver wonderful performance of that lens.
Two more wishes:
1) Could you show the viewfinder blockage maybe with your cellphone?
2) Could you make a wide-open full body portrait of a person (in portrait orientation)?

Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Asph III - First look
At close focus (0.5), the out of focus (bokeh) elements start to swirl
At close focus (0.5-0.7m), there's a bit of glow (blooming), that is less noticeable once you get past 0.7m. This works well for some circumstances (forgiving portraiture), maybe less so in other instances
