I just had a look on the AF nikon bodies @ KEH.
20$ will buy you a BGN N8008 😱
That's what I was asked for a disposable recently at the niagara falls.
And the rest is about the same: 200$ for an F4, in the 150 mark for an f100 the N90 is so low I can't believe.
I almost felt insulted for them. These are cameras for heaven's sake!!🙂

You're looking on the wrong section... manual focus cameras get a better price. Auto-focus is dead, I tell you, manual focus is the wave of the future! 🙂

I recently got $150 for a EX+ F100 in a private sale. I bought it from KEH about a year ago for $250.

Good thing I've got the RF bug otherwise I'd be upset 🙂

Yes it's true, electronic/AF film cameras are disposable now. When they die, they die. Mechanical cameras can always be revived.

Bit of a generalization of course, but broadly true. That's why I love my M2 and FM.

The lenses are more valuable than the camera ! So not quite so disposable - my can't care less camera is a budget Minolta 404si with it's OK lense , but which will accept the 50 / f 1.7 ... I treat it as a compact , but I have a mint 7000i too , which I actually like a lot .

The 404Si was my first rig ever! I learned a lot from that little camera. I replaced it with a Dynax/Maxxum 7, what a killer camera that was. But it suffers from the same 'disposable' problem, even for 150 euros it didn't find any buyers. It might very well be the best camera I have ever owned but now it sits unused on a shelf between the Nikons. The only compatible lens I have is a cheap kit zoom...
