New Yashica Electro GSN ,...

I have a brand new one in the box and with instructions and case. 99+%new. Does anyone know what this is worth. Don't know if I should sell or save.

I don't know if this helps provide a reference point, but a couple of weeks ago I bought a near-mint GSN at an antique shop for $25. No case, no lens cap, no manual, but the camera appears to have seen very little use (even still has the little clear plastic guard in the hot shoe). Maybe it wasn't used much because the previous owner put a 3 volt battery in instead of a 6 volt. No corrosion in the battery box, though. I do have to replace the light seals, and condition of POD is unknown at this point. OTOH, another GSN at a different booth in the same antique center, which saw substantially more use, was marked $35.

If it truly is a new or new old stock camera with all the original included accessories as if you were going to buy it off the shelf, you can fetch a really good price for it on Ebay. There's some collectors that look for this sort of thing. Check out the screen shot from an auction for the same thing that sold last month for just over $400...but even the original battery that came with the camera was still in the sealed packaging. that's pretty outrageous. i bought the whole kit, including the two extra lenses, original carry bag, extra battery, mini tripod, all manuals etc in great condition (no need yet to re-do the seals or to re-adjust the RF) for £35. i wouldn't pay more than that and i've heard of other paying considerably less for the same.

I have two yashica electro 35 GSN cameras and my experience is that after careful usage of the previous owner these cameras looks like new ones and this is not so rare. But selling a camera with everything in new and mint condition could be valuable for a collector who is more interested in the camera itself than the photos of the camera can take with.

So very briefly -> ebay.
