Excellent article, I was just reading it before I dropped by RFF. When he said he'd never owned a Leica M, but dropped $600 on a D-Lux, I did think "dude, you could have had an M2 for that!"
Mag arrived yesterday so I read the article on the commute tonight. As always Lane writes well, the best bit for me was the reason why a roll of film is 36 exposures long... 😉
This article appears in the Style issue of the New Yorker, but then perhaps that is an appropriate category for Leica cameras? 🙄
