Back on topic.
I've been looking at my Zeiss lenses, those that I'm interested in, and how they differ from the voigtlanders i have and have been replacing.
The main thing is the correction and sharpness. They're bigger and slower as a result, but i'm fine with this.
Part of me would love a faster 50 planar, 35 or 25 Biogon, but not at the compromise of the qualities they already have.
Is a 50/1 Planar or a 35/1 Biogon a possibility? Given the cost, size and low volume of the Noctiluxes, i can't see them putting the money into them for M mount.
A 1.4 25mm or 21mm Biogon? I feel, looking at the respective Summiluxes, that this also won't be reasonable, without them no longer having that correction.
So what would i like and think is possible?
I'm hoping for a new 85/90mm f2. Their f4 just isn't appealing at the moment and their old f2 was certainly interesting. I'd want a competitor to the 90 Summicron tho, not a 50/1.5 style of image.
I guess even a 75/1.4 would be cool, and not unreasonable to expect. Whatever it is, i'm excited to see it!
