What I liked about the Zorki-5 (same size shell as the 6, but baseloading) was the size. Within a millimetre or so, the Zorki 5 and 6 have the cross-section of a Barnack while the (very nice) FED-2 has the size of an M.
I have never considered a Zorki 6 but after you comparison to the FED2 Steve i might have to reconsider this oversight.
