New Zorki 6 user - have a question after getting my first roll of film back

I want to second the Oleg recommendation. Since you're in Vienna, you're not that far from him and shipping might cost less and shipping times might also be faster. Oleg is highly regarded and not over expensive. I haven't used him myself, but folks here on RFF are always saying things like, "got my Zorki back from Oleg and its like a new camera". Sounds like what you want:)

2 thumbs up for the Oleg suggestion. Lost count of cameras he's done for me. Never disappointed.

Well if you all are singing his praise, then it's definitely worth looking into. I really wanted to bring the camera with me to Berlin next week... Hm. I think what I might do (and I've been sitting here for a few minutes thinking about this) is try the cheap solution and if that doesn't work then I'll get in touch with Oleg (or Ron - he's offered to help, too).

I've been to Berlin a few times already but now I'd love to photograph East Berlin with an East German-imported Zorki. ;) If the shutter is still acting up a bit and the photos come out like they did before, it'll have a sort of artistic charm to it. Just have to work out the RF in the meantime.

Thanks for all the help and recommendations, everyone - I appreciate it!

Oleg generally gets very high praise on here, you could do worse than send it to him. If you want to tackle the RF yourself, there's a sticky on here to guide you. You'll need a very small screwdriver, with a flat-blade tip about 1-1.2mm across. Sets of jewellers screwdrivers can be had quite cheaply that will do the job.

Already adjusted the RF this morning. ;) I used this guide and a few others - the one here wasn't entirely clear. Figured it out, though, so no worries.

I'll second that, Oleg will restore your camera to fully working order and you'll probably be amazed by the difference and the price.

Regards, David
