Hello everyone!
I'm a newbie to rangefinders and just purchased my first one, Black Bodied Canon A35 F Nighter.

I've never used one in my life and hope you don't mind questions from time to time. I've always shot with a 35mm SLR and decided to get away from it and try something different.

I plan on shooting street/cityscape scenes. This camera will not accept film over 400. But I plan on using Fuji Neopan and Ilford Pan F for my black and whites.

Anyone use one of these cameras and want to offer some suggestions? I know it will accept filters, but would it be linear or circular filters that I would order?

I'm really hoping to contribute my experiences with you and hope you have some patience with me. It's a big change for me.

I just got my camera back from a shop that custom fit some genuine ostrich leather (black) onto the camera. It looks pretty sweet.:D

Thanks again!
Mr. B

Hi Mr B and welcome! Fuji Neopan 400 sounds like a fine choice for street scenes. Pan F or polarizing filters would be less useful in that environment I think. Suggest you just load the camera with film and go out and have fun shooting!

i'm with doug, put in some film and start shooting. 400 speed film is ideal for street stuff.
i like to keep a yellow filter on all my lenses and i shoot only b&w film so that works out ok.

maybe a pic of that ostrich covered cam for us to see would be nice, along with whatever you shoot with the camera too.

and welcome to the forum.
