my watameter finally stoped adjusting.
I need a new rangefinder adapter.
I dont mind modern or digital as long as it gives me a correct reading.
Any recommendations?

The only modern rangefinders I've seen are handheld affairs for hunting or golfing. But a good older model is a Rowi. You can move the accessory foot from the center to either side in order to clear the shutter speed dial on 35mm cameras, or just keep it in the center if using a folder.

It would be very hard to replace the Rolls Royce of rangefinder.

To the OP,
I have some Leitz rangefinders that still work if a bit dim (...expensive and decades older than Watameter but easier to find operating unit and buy on line )

Not a lot of adapters for sale. Everything good I find is metric. Not a lot of feet mesured adapters.
