Don`t know if this is an appropriate thread but older members may recall Joe ( Back Alley) . Just heard from him on Fb and I`m sure that everybody here would want to wish him the very best .

"I’m looking for my long lost sister…last seen in conn…i have been diagnosed with a form of dementia and I am hoping to make amends with her and a few others …that i was foolish enough to keep in touch with…as to me I am living in a hospital 24/7 while waiting for a move to an assisted living home..if this sounds wonky I have a less than capacity brain and have terrible typing skills on an iPhone…I have been here a bit over a month and hope that a more permanent safe place can be found…we grew up asMmary Ellen and Joey and i think now still use Maria …so any Wagners..Rizzuto’s Peloso is being asked to look at the person next to you and ask if she is my sister…as for old friends photo friends friends friends from around the world an old hello world would be appreciated".

That is such sad, heartbreaking news. I have always wondered what happened to Joe. And, yes indeed, I wish the very best for him during these trying times. Thanks for the update, Michael.

If memory serves, Joe as a moderator had a big star next to his rff handle. If anyone deserved to have one, it was him. I am sorry to read of his troubles.

That's really unexpected. Wishing Joe a speedy move to a safe and healthy place. 🙏❤️ @Michael Markey please convey to Joe that we all miss him and wish him well.
Very sorry to hear about this, wish Joe the best. I remember when he reunited with his son years ago.

Thanks Michael for this update. It a sad news, we all remember Joe and his contribution to RFF. We can only wish all the best to Joe.

This is distressing news. Only recently I recalled one of Joe's posts here on RFF. I've wondered what has been happening with him. Sad to discover he is dealing with so much.

Joe's quest for the perfect camera bag makes for some great reading. He never gave up...I still miss Joe's presence and his remarks and articles, especially his search for the perfect camera bag. I wish Joe the best possible outcome for himself, and best luck in finding his sister.
This is sad news, I'll drop him a note on fb. He hasn't been here for a couple of years.
