NEX-6 in the White Mountains

This was my first outing with the NEX-6 with the 12mm Heliar. I went up mount Madison and camped there for a night. The camera is really compact and the IQ is pretty decent. I must say that the pictures are not as sharp as I expected (compared to the M8) and the colors are not as punchy as those of the M8. The good thing is that the NEX-6 doesn't have the NEX-5 colorshift in the corners. The small flash is also pretty decent ! But anyway, here are a few shots !

Nice! Your close-ups are excellent, what adapter are you using with the CV 12mm?

What a great spot. I've been on that bridge I believe, many years ago. Funny- I live about a half hour from WMSF and don't get there enough. When I lived an hour plus away I went way more often.

That's not untypical behavior Bob. When I was a kid I used to go on vacation a lot to Dublin in Ireland and went to the top of a British monument called Nelson's Pillar several times. You got a magnificent view of the city and the Dublin Mountains.

Then I went there to live and during the Troubles the IRA blew it up. About 95% of the population were moaning that they "never had a chance" to go up it.

I have got a Nex-6 and just bought a metabones M-Nex adopter.

I am a bit dumb in setting this digital machine 🙁

The camera keeps telling me that it cannot detect the lense. Can someone please tell me how to set it to a M-lense shotting mode?

I believe in "Setup" in the settings menu there is a "Shoot without lens" option to turn on.

Thanks Peter, but I tend to think technology makes poeple dumb as everything is becoming a "press the button" job... hang on... some gadget has not even got a button...
