Anyway, considering that it's an APS-C lens, $1000 for a moderately fast mild WA is quite expensive in my standards. Look at the price of the CV Nokton 35/1.2 - full frame and one full stop faster than the 24/1.8.
I believed that, at that price level, the performance would be in the league of a Zeiss ZM 35/2 or 35/2.8. At fist glance it doesn't seems so, but it's too soon to say nothing conclusive until many more samples from reviewers and final users are available..
