Nicaragua with my M6

So I just got back from a two week trip to Nicaragua. I brought my M6, 35 Cron (3rd version), and my current 50 cron. All black and white is HP5+ and all color is Superia 400. I wish I had shelled out the extra cash for Portra or some E-6, but oh well.

Lens used on #4 was the 50 Cron with the hood extended. I don't know why it flared.
 
I can't agree about #2 - the composition leaves my eye wandering a bit, and it has no real feeling for me. Without a strong graphical structure I am left to interpret it on the subject matter and/or the feel, and I'm not sure what the image is about other than what is obviously in the frame, which isn't strong enough to carry it in my opinion.

#3 I agree is strong - a gutsy composition and well made image that invites more investigation. The strong presence of the vertical in the foreground creates a tension and mood. Nice image.

#6 is the other image I came back to - I enjoy the intersection of planes extending from the three main subjects. I might try it with the umbrella on the left cropped out - I find it a bit distracting, but of course that's your choice, and as is it's not a huge issue, I might just try it. For me this image has a story, which is another key component in a good photograph of this genre. The story is very clear to me - regardless of what was actually happening, I involved myself in the image and for me, that makes it successful, in addition to standing on its own aesthetically.

Nice job and looking forward to seeing more.

#1 is best for me. Gives a glimpse of what is like spending a lazy afternoon in Nicaragua.

light leak in #4 ?

I like best b&w photos 1 and 2. I visit this country last year also (because of my job). after the earth quake in 1970's, their capital is still quite "low".

i think things like neoliberal policies like structural adjustment programs and a devastating civil war funded by the U.S. might have slightly more to do with 'low' economy than an earthquake.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. didn't mean economy, but city scape itself. there are few tall buildings in Managua, and city as spread into wide region instead, after the quake. when visiting there, I saw some old photos before everything leveled down.
 
1,2,3. #1 really captures the atmosphere of the town. Love #2.

civil war -- to be expected because of Somosa's stranglehold/oppression of the people. What was bizzare is how he was taken out by a bazooka when he was driving. I thought that was overkill.
 
I like #2, it has an nice atmosphere and feel... my eye does not wonder but is taken down the road past the animals and people, not the best of compositions as was said, but that feel of going down the road makes up for it for me.

#1 is Sofa King Great! Captures the place and life of where you were.
