Nicca IIIs Brass? Thinking Black Paint.

Anyone know for certain the Nicca IIIs is brass under the chrome or something else? I've thought about getting mine painted and was in contact with camerawork-uk and I'm about to send the camera and a Leica 50 Elmar for a paint job, but read somewhere the Nicca is aluminum? I just want to hear from anyone who would know for certain.

the corners on my well used Nicca/Tower III body patinas nice and green like brass would if not polished.

i know that this is a personal choice but I would just leave the camera looking like that.

just be careful with the acid to remove the brass and never sand it. some of the parts are already thin in some places. 😱😱😱

also consider having it anodized instead.🙄
