It takes 34mm filters, common to the Summar.
The Nikon S-Mount version uses 43mm filters.

That Nikkor lens in LTM uses 34.5mm filters Brian.
The ones in Nikon S mount used the 43mm size like the Nikkor 3.5cm f1.8 lens.

An Ednalite "604" series type filter holder solved the odd size filter problem on my Nikkor 3.5cm f2.5 lens. Before I also used 36mm slip on type filters too on this fine lens also.

I also happened to have this lens but never couldn't find a appropriate filter for it. Does the 604 adapter change it to 49mm filter? Would any series 6 adapter do the trick?

These use series 6 filters only.
You will need a Tiffen 618 or an Ednalite 604 adapter.
Alternatively, you can use 36mm slip on filters or get a Leitz clamp on lens hood made for the 35mm f3.5 Summaron lens that will fit the LTM 35mm f2.5 Nikkor lens.
This lens hood can take 39mm screw on filters.

wow, mine wasn't nearly as nice as yours.... any idea what's the going rate for the lens? I actually got it from a local camera fair.

Thanks a bunch.
I assume you are referring to to the FOOKH hood? that hood is actually pretty pricey...

There are 34.5mm Nikkor and B+W filters out there, you just got to find them. I use them for a range of lenses from the Nikkor 25mm to Micro-Nikkor lenses in LTM.

The Leitz SOOTF adapter fits it perfectly, then you can use Summitar filters, which aren't that hard to find. The Summaron LTM hood also fits it perfectly. I'm pretty sure any 36A push on filter will work too.

You can also get S.K. Grimes (USA) or Heliopan (Germany) to make a custom step-up ring adapter for it. Mt guess is 49mm would be the best diameter to step-up to. There are many filters and hoods available in that size.

If cost is a concern and you need filters for your expensive to buy LTM Nikkor 35mm f2.5 lens, then the common slip on 36mm FSU made filters will do the trick.
These are not bad quality and are very available for low prices on Ebay or from other well known FSU photo gear seller's web sites.

Thanks. I just got a tiffen 618 and it works perfect. Have you experienced any vignetting ? I got the single threaded filter adapter with the step-up adapter but it still looks like a big chunk in front of the lens.

No vignetting at all.
My Ednalite 604 adapter is quite shallow and takes series six filters which are plenty big in diameter for the LTM Nikkor 35mm f2.5 lens.
A 35mm lens view is not all that wide.
The front retaining ring can be swapped with a low profile one from any series 6 adapter that use that type if there is the slightest vignetting caused by the this filter retaining ring on the front.

Thanks a lot. I ended up getting a series 6 adapter with leica uva filter. It works very nicely. The adapter works like a little hood too. No vignetting that I have seen. Awesome little lens.

... likes film again.
Did I understand this correctly, one can use one of the FSU filters on the Leitz 3.5cm Summaron 1:3.5 lens (LTM) ? I really like this lens but don't want to spend big $$$ for an original Leitz hood / filter.
