Nikkor 50 1.4 Black in M mount ??

I agree with Stephen on this point. Get a lower cost very clean Nikon 50/1.4 in S mount, and an Amedeo adapter.

The number is very late ,
You will see from time to time 5cm 1.4 nikkors without the mount ,
They were modified to use in some machine , there is the glass with aperature scale . No camera mount or barrel .
Sellers sell them to replace glass in damaged lenses .
Probably one of them ,

The same 5cm f1.4 Nikkor lens in LTM and a Leica M adapter would be cheaper and more usable.

If it's in an M helical mount, does it rotate in focusing like a Leica lens, or 'backwards' like an RF Nikkor? I like the 5cm RF Nikkor rendering, but when changing lenses I have trouble adapting to the focusing direction. So I'd regard an RF Nikkor that focused in the Leica direction as by far the more usable.

PS, I'm not sure the ad is 100% straightforward, calling a modified/converted lens a 'rare' one. Only the final line of small print attributes it to MSOptical. My first thought was 'OMG, they put some Olympic or Millennium Nikkors in M mounts? Must be amazingly rare – so why is it so cheap?' I had to read all the way to the end to find out.

Looks like a standard S-mount 5cm F1.4 (rear collar removed) stuck on one of Miyazaki-san's standard focus mounts. Total cost would probably be 40,000 - 45,000 yen for the conversion plus lens, which can be found for around 20,000 to 30,000 yen.

Kirk, Amedeo makes an S-M adapter that focuses in the "Leica" direction. Naturally, it can only be used with internal S-mount 50mm lenses. The head bartender has it for sale here. I'm very tempted to get one myself but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
