Nikkor 5cm/2 collapsible

This one is sharp. I've compared my early one with the "black Rim", both are quite sharp.

One trick on the collapsible Nikkor: using a lens hood also makes it easier to change the F-Stop. The mechanism does not firmly lock the lens into place like a Summar, Summitar, or Summicron. So on this lens, and on my own, holding the lens in place using the lens hood while changing the F-stop prevents the lens from rotating out of the lock position.

Brian, I did not use a hood on these shots, but agree that attaching the hood would make changing f-stops easier- I will do so next time.

Lens looks good, and I am particularly impressed with the rich color saturation and the color rendition; not too cool, and not too warm, just about perfect.

Is there something special about the collapsible Nikkor?
I hardly ever see a Nikkor LTM for sale.
