I have a plain H in Nikon slr mount. Lovely lens with no quirks.
Use with my 105 2.5 Sonnar as a nice combo. Add in my 35 2..0 Single coat And I am in heaven.

The Nikkor-H in SLR mount is a lovely lens, but it's a different design. Both have 6-elements (H = Hex = 6), but the Nikkor-H Auto 50mm f/2 is a Gaussian type, while the Nikkor-H.C 5cm f/2 is a Sonnar type design.
I have one of each type.

I saw this on Flickr today, lovely example of what a 50mm can do. So nice!

I used to have a 5cm f2 Nikkor H.C (Leica thread) which was a superb lens but I sold it to buy a 5cm F1.5 Nikkor S.C. (Leica thread) lens which is also a superb lens.
I know that Nikon supplied a dedicated lenshood for the 5cm F2 Nikkor in 40.5mm thread but does anybody know if Nikon supplied a dedicated 40.5mm lenshood for the 5cm F1.5 Nikkor S.C. lens that DDD used in Korea

Yes, they did. See the books by Rotoloni.
They also made a wonderful shade for the Nikkorex 5cm f/2.5 lens that fits perfectly on the 50mm f/2 Nikon rangefinder lens. Also Waltz made hoods for this lens.

Thanks Erik, thats very interesting to know. I wondered if perhaps the 5cm F1.5 being available for only 1 year and being replaced by the faster 5cm F1.4 that Nikon had not released any lens accessories for it.
I have never seen a Nikon lenshood in 40.5mm screw marked up for the ' 5cm F1.5 Nikkor ' probably because of very limited production made.

The 50mm f/1.5 Nikkor will use all the 40.5mm accessories of the 50mm f/2 Nikkor.
I've never seen a Nikon hood marked 50mm f/1.5 however, not even in the books by Robert Rotoloni. Indeed, it was only made for one year.
Maybe the prewar Zeiss lens hood for the 50mm f/1.5 Sonnar will fit. I have that shade and that lens, but unfortunately not the 50mm f/1.5 Nikkor!

This is with the prewar uncoated Zeiss 50mm f/1.5 (No. 1628901) on my Nikon S2 at full aperture. I am very impressed by this lens. No wonder that Nikon tried to copy it.
Erik.
