Found I have Nikkor 85mm f2 ser# 182xxx & wondering if it is similar type lens to yours, Naruto? Recently acquired 8.2 & am interested in learning if I can use the 85 on it. Any guidance on type & source of adapters for my Nikon lenses greatly appreciated.

The Nikkor-PC 8.5cm F2 retained the same optical formula for its entire run, but the mechanics changed around it. There are three different focus mounts; S-Mount for Nikon RF, Contax mount for the Contax RF, denoted by a 'C' on the side of the lens; and Leica Thread Mount for the Leica. I have one of each.
The SN 182xxx is fairly early. If it is S-Mount or Contax mount, it can be used with an medeo adapter. It is easiest to use the Leica version of the lens with an M-Mount adapter. My lens is spot-on with the M9.
