Nikon 1: Post your photos!

I have two questions about this little camera. What does the 10-30 kit lens equate to in 35mm? How is the viewfinder?

28-80mm equivalent. The crop factor for Nikon 1 is 2.7x.

The EVF is very good, considering that you can get V1 with its kit for less than $300 today.

I guess, the "V1" will be the next cam I buy. With the price you can snag it at ATM, I need to have one.
Had the chance to shoot with one twice and it really was impressive!

2 week later: Now, I have one. And I have fallen in love! 😉

bought a V1 with 10-30mm lens a few days ago - and impressed! All pictures with the 10-30mm kit lens:

(off topic) Its interesting Lynne how architecture says so much about a city. I am from Adelaide but have been to Sydney often enough to know how it looks. The moment I glanced at the first of your photos (and even before I noticed the more obvious signs like the cars on the left hand side of the road) I picked it for inner city Sydney. In fact I made the prediction to myself that it looked like an intersection of Barcom Ave and Oxford Streets. I dont know Barcom but have of course walked and driven down Oxford Street often enough when in town. When I checked on Google maps I saw that Barcom Ave does not intersect with Oxford but is just around the corner from it. Maybe as little as a hundred meters or so away. Not bad from maybe a half second first impression.

I often find I can do this pretty accurately with places I have visited. A weird skill. I wonder if others can do this?

(BTW which intersection or T junction is it? Just curious)

Just picked up an adapter to use my Canon FD "L" lenses with my Nikon 1 V2. You gotta guess the exposure, but I love the way the FD lenses render.
