Nikon 2.8cm f3.5

I shot some frames with this lens. It's rather slow. But, the image quality isn't bad at all. This is from Kodak Tri-X @ ASA 400 souped in Rodinal 1:50 for 13 minutes.

I like this lens - it is a bit slow - but then you can handhold a Rf camera at much lower speeds than a SLR. It is not supersharp wide-open, the 28f3.5 VC in the SC mount is better at 3.5-4. Great 60's look though to the negatives - particularly a rather "snappy" combination like TX in Rodinal 1:50.
It is also one of the lenses that just looks right on a Nikon Rf.

I love W-Nikkor 2.8cm f3.5's vintage look. Compare to an SC 28mm f3.5, it's hard to find any weakpoint.
Even it shows good colors and well flare resistance.

Thanks goliathus. I took a look at your blog. I like the images that the lens produces. When you say SC 28mm f3.5, do you mean the Voigtlander version? Thanks.

Tom A, I have been using Rodinal and Tri-X more often. It's a combo that I am liking more and more. I especially try to use it when I'm using older lenses. Just for fun, although I know Tri-X has changed its look over the years. I didn't have any issue with sharpness wide open. Maybe because I was focused at infinity.

I am a big fan of my black 2.8cm f/3.5 W-Nikkor. It's a great lens. I love how small and compact it is. I find it to be plenty sharp.
