I am looking into buying a Nikon 35Ti locally. I was wondering what a good price would be for one. Seller is asking for $235.

Thanks.

That sounds like a really good price! When I was looking (couple of years ago) they were at least twice that—especially for the all black model.

Grays of Westminster have one in mint condition for £445. Guess the offer made to you is very low if camera is in reasonable condition.

Honestly, I was considering buying it only to re-sell (probably here). I already have the Hexar AF and am happy with it, so I don't need the 35Ti also.
Would anyone be interested in buying it? I guess maybe this is a question for the classifieds.
Thanks for the help in pricing.

I'm actually in the market for one so I'd be very interested in buying it but there's one for $286 at Keh so I'm not sure you'd be able to make much profit by selling it to me.

As far as I know only the 28Ti comes in black and it's indeed a bit more expensive than the 35Ti.

I was not looking to profit from this, but merely trying to find the camera a worthy home.

I think you're right about the black body, Jamie. I have the 35Ti and was tracking 28Ti auctions for a while, hence the confusion. However, the price the OP lists for a 35Ti is still very good.

I STOLE a 35TI on ebay for $162.50 about 3 weeks ago. I was very pleasantly surprised that no one sniped my bid. It was listed as Niikon 35 TI -- maybe the space between 35 and TI excluded it from ebay's search engine? It's absolutely new and is now my daily camera (with AP 400).

They typically go on ebay for about $350 and up.

Lucky you, Keith... I paid a bit below $300 for mine. The price quoted above is, indeed, very good... assuming that the camera will include the manual at least.

Lucky indeed... yeah, a manual would help. It took me several tries to change the default mode to "flash = off."

Very fair price for the camera. The only similar compact camera of like focal length that beats it is the Contax T3 but at 2x the price. Leica made the CM with a faster lens but I don't know much about it other than it's al least as expensive as the T3.

I sold my Contax T3 to a member here for $350 a couple of years ago. Ultra sharp lens but I never got used to the menu system. Decided to stick with my Rollei 35. (and my evil digital SLR)

I did look at the Nikon 35Ti. Lovely camera and the price is excellent. Do it + post some pix.
