Nice, but you are comparing two cameras that are not in the same price league. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the M9 twice the price of the Df ?
Plus, comparing the size of a rangefinder and a single lens reflex will always be in favour of the RF.

It wasn't meant as anything except a relative size illustration.
On a side note, I was excited about the Df until I saw the top plate, price, and the specs. For ME, and me alone, I think a Leica M9 is closer to Pure Photography. 😉

This is the part that always gets me...
"Leica M9 is 44% (29.5 mm) thinner than Nikon Df."
I have no idea why thickness bothers me, but it does.

I guess I've found my "happy place" with the much-maligned M9 🙂
...Except I can't find the D-lighting, picture profiles, multi-shot, in-camera HDR, aquarium modes.

Sure, but if I'm carrying around a camera, the fact that one camera cost more than the other, or one is a RF and one is an SLR makes no difference to how easy it is to get in and of the bag.
