I am "finishing" my F, and discovered today that the counter was stuck.
Long story short, I opened the thing, cleaned it and now it's working.
BUT, there is that small bug:
when I tighten the three set screws on the counter cover, the advance lever gets stuck. when I don't, it's quite easy to turn the cover (which indicates the frames so it's not an option to have it turn freely). The right position for the cover seems to be with the arrow at 12 o'clock. There, the zero is reached two blank shots after the back is put back.
There is one place, at about 1 o'clock, where the set screws are stopped by something, and it's easier to tighten the cover enough without blocking the advance lever. Only problem: when the cover is there, the counter indicates 0 when reset by the back opening, not at -2 or -3 as it should.
It's not really critical, just kind of bothers me and I'm curious what I missed here.
If you have any idea, please share you wisdom 🙂
