Brian...I have learned all this since buying my Nikon F body in early August of this year...
It is a 6465xxx body and came with the flagged Photomic prism...later, I found a plain prism and really like the look with that on it...
I have also found a black FTn prism that works and is in decent condition...I've been thinking of buying a chrome F in the 70xxxxx range so I could use it...at first I was concerned that a black prism on a chrome body would get me banned from any Nikon event but then remembered that the F2's came this way...
