Nikon F sale question...........

$135 Shipping and Handling? Are you kidding? At least he openly states the Reserve Price in the Listing, which most sellers don't do. I am generally suspicious of sellers who charge exorbitant fees for shipping and handling to make the asking price seem lower.

Reserve price of 225, plus 135 shipping (that may be to my location in Canada).

Why list with a buy it now amount below a stated reserve price? Guy is somewhat less than clever.

The point is I feel he is being dishonest and cannot be trusted.

There is no reserve listed because it is BIN or make offer so if you make an offer it would obviously be below his reserve...and at $135 shipping, I'd expect overnight shipping..

To top it off, fully working (including meter) Nikon F's with additional lens are currently going well under $200.... I recently bought one with Nikkor 50mm, 105mm, and 135mm lens all for $149...

Great deal. Aren't 105's alone selling for that much?

I love Nikon F camera bodies....I have 2 black ones. But I would not bite on that ad. I think you can and should find a better/more reliable seller for the body then build up the lenses for the kit. There are often good deals here on F equipment and then there is KEH for a fool proof return policy.

I really hate when people do this. Not because a whole lot of people are silly enough to fall for it, but it's incredibly dishonest, the kit isn't worth that much, AND it sucks when you get your hopes up because you thought you found a good deal. Shame on this ****.

I read more carefully and he's nuts. Before I just glanced at the ad and didn't read through it. I'd definately pass on this.

Yeah, that seems really high. Picked up a really nice F Apollo with fully working and accurate FTN meter (like the one he has pictured in his listing) for $89 with free shipping.

Already have that 50mm, and the other two lenses and teleconverter are not something I find interesting.

I can see why folks feel it's dishonest to be asking $135 for shipping.

Terrible spelling
Reserve price higher than buy it now
Ridiculous shipping

Why even think about it? Good F's are everywhere.

You can't have a reserve and a BIN price. He's confused or being confusing. Seems a decent price for all the gear.

When you add the shipping it isn't a decent price..

Nikon F's with 1 or 2 good lens can be had off eBay for under $125. Many times under $100.

If you're looking for an old F or F2 KEH has some terrific bargains on older Nikon bodies.
I love eBay and shop there (too) often, but in this case KEH is a better, less risky choice.
