Nikon F sale question...........

Price seems to be relatively low. I paid much more for smaller set (without original bag).

How do you figure??

Nikon F off eBay with 50mm lens less than $100

28mm f/3.5 Nikkor-H off eBay less than $50

Other odds and ends including a ratty case less than $20

Price for the kit listed $112.50 ???? with $225 reserve ???? plus $135 shipping equals $247??? or with his described reserve $360

Did you read the entire listing or just the listed BIN price??

The whole kit can in reality be bought off eBay for $150 or less..

I wouldn't touch it though. This auction and the saddle he also has listed sounds a bit too fishy........

If you're looking for an old F or F2 KEH has some terrific bargains on older Nikon bodies.
I love eBay and shop there (too) often, but in this case KEH is a better, less risky choice.

Not really at the moment. Many of their Nikon F's are well over the top. They do however have some good prices..

Since they got bought out, their prices have been steadily going up while their buy offers have dropped..

Last month I sent them a fully working Leica M3 SS over 1 million chrome with hardly a mark and the vulcanite was still original and complete and DR Summicron with eyes and both would have most likely fit their Ex+ category.

Their offer....$200 for both...............I had them ship it back to me

My $89 Apollo F came from KEH (through eBay, BIN). So there are still bargains to be had from them.

Can you give more details on the "Since they got bought out . . ." Who bought them?

Best,
-Tim

this is interesting info as i recently bought a black nikon f apollo with eye level prism. i took it to aperture in london uk and got it serviced and mirror foam replaced. at the same time i got a like new om1n with 50 1.4, 35 2.8 and some more stuff. i said to myself which ever i cant get on with i will sale. aperture said i could get £250 with my 50 1.8. im thinking of parting with both and getting a leica as i also bought a mamiya rz67 for a project and i loooove medium format files.

the nikon doesnt want to let me go lool

I don't recall the name but it is a NYC investment company who bought them..

King Grant no longer owns it..
