Hi, I recently purchased a Nikon F and upon looking at it closer I noticed it has a engraving that says "US Navy". I was told to join and post about it here. I'm hoping to get more information about it and see if there is any value since I was in the process of disassembling it before I noticed the engravings. I bought it because I just wanted a broken camera to fix but that was before I saw the markings and if there is alot of historical significant and it is fairly valuable then I'll probably just sell it to a collector that could take better care of it and treasure it compared to me. The most infomation I could find was this Nikon F 6575600 «U.S. NAVY»

Note: Everything doesn't want to move it's seems like everything is stuck and the lens comes apart into 2 pieces

Thank you for your help guys

Ya can find some more info & pix here

Also there is a book "Nikon F The Camera" by Uli Koch where are different types are described on a few pages.

It seems that some or all were modified by the "Ehrenreich Photo Optical Industries of Cal. Inc."
