I am sure it is fantastic with mf lenses, but having F6 would be so tempting to try that super fast AF. And that means more lenses. And more and more...
A used 50 1.8 G is only about $120. Works GREAT with it...

I guess you know the any new lenses with electronically controlled aperture can only be used wide open. not a problem usually with tele lenses, as this often is the most relevant look. Mind you, there is a 28/1.4E as well. Not to confuse with old manual focus Series E lenses from the late 70ies/80ies.
Taking pictures can easily be done in isolation 🙂 And cheering yourself up cannot be bad. Especially not now.

I have 0026918 Purchased new in January 2013 in BC Canada.Post your serial numbers folks. Lets see if we can get an idea of how many Nikon F6s are out there!
I've seen serial numbers as high as 0036xxx which would indicate only about 36,000 units have been manufactured. Not many for a 10 year production run, but also unsurprising for a film camera in the digital age.
