I know this is a common f100 problem, but has this affected the f6?
I don't know about the F6 but I have an N80 that was sticky. I cleaned it with alcohol and coated it with Armor All conditioner. It's doing fine now.
I like the alcohol, but would avoid coating any camera with anything as slippery as Armor All.
The Armor All Conditioner I used was not even slightly slippery. I'm not at home but I'll look for the specific product name when I am home.
Back home and the product is no where to be found. I must have used it up.
ATTENTION
Test first on a small, inconspicuous area. Not for use on suede, buckskin, unfinished leather or fabric. Will not harm vinyl or rubber. Not for use where slipperiness maybe hazardous.http://www.armorall.com/products/leather-care-gel/
ATTENTION
Not for use on floors, vehicle controls (pedals, grips, steering wheels), bench or cycle seats, cycle tires, brake drums and other surfaces where slipperiness may be hazardous. Do not use on or near clear plastic surfaces, glass (may cause smearing), fabric, woven materials or paint. http://www.armorall.com/products/original-protectant/
Like I said, I put the ArmorAll on nice and thick this time, and that seems to be the secret. And it's a lot easier to apply if you take the door off the camera.
