Wow...having used Nikons exclusively since dirt was invented, I never knew about one of the most famous photos of the 20th Century being shot with a Nikon FE2:

yep, read about this at some point, thought it was pretty cool... i can't remember for sure, but i recall Jeff shooting the shot at some hilariously slow shutter speed, due to the TC on the f5.6 lens, and ISO 100 film.

Looks like the FE-2 was a back-up for his F3T (hit by a rock just hours earlier)...
Cool shot considering the circumstances and gear he had to use to get it...400mm + tele-converter + 100asa film...no mention of a tripod but I'm guessing there was one...
