Nikon P7000 on Amazon

I should do a HU thread about this...

In any case, I just noticed that the Nikon P7000 is selling in Amazon right now for $377 with free shipping. After seeing it at $418 and $419 in Adorama and Abe's, I chose to pick this one right now...

So, for those who checked out this thread on the Nikon P7000, here's a chance to get your feet wet (figuratively speaking).

Reason? We're going to Cartagena, Colombia, on Dec 26th. I was initially going to take two of my Leicas with... but then, I got some prints from my trip to Guatemala, where I took my D700, and got to think about a decent digital P&S. I'll take one of my M bodies for B&W film, but let's see how this Nikon handles the Cartagena sun... 😉

So, heads up, in case you're interested on this camera! 🙂

In Amazon?

I remember December 2008. They advertised the Nikon D700 at something like $2200. My eyes nearly popped out of my sockets. However, I spent the day fretting about buying the camera or not, and then I missed my chance.

BTW, I fear I stayed away from the Lumix because of the lack of viewfinder. But thanks for replying! 🙂

I don't see the appeal of this camera... too big for a small sensor P&S.
