Nikon Parts Source Need Nameplate for F

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a source to purchase Nikon F parts (other than evilbay)? I need the "nameplate" and screws that says Nikon and goes in front of the non-metered eye level prism.

I had my Nikon F overhauled by Authorized Photo Repair, which used to be the Nikon USA midwest factory service center. They still have lots of parts from the F and F2 era (they overhauled my F2 and F3 also). More to your point - they have the Nikon F nameplates. Mine needed a nameplate too, (it had an F2 plain prism on it when I got it). Now it has a new old stock one.

Since you're on the West coast, you could try the Nikon service center there.

??? The eyelevel prisms for the F do not have their own nameplates. The nameplate is on the body. It belongs there whether the body has a metered or non-metered finder.

The pattern is reversed on the F2. There, the prism has the nameplate and the body lacks one.

Yes I know it's not on the prism....I figured it was better to explain that it's in front of it so people will get what I need.
