The rules say scans of photographs are not accepted . . . doesn't that mean prints? That's how it reads to me anyway. (Not that I have any intention of entering a photo-competition of any sort though).

EDIT: Indeed, they mention the digital-only rule in another sentence of the text. So, world-domination will have to be achieved by some other means (as he puts the Nikkormat back in the draw).

If they have stopped accepting film originated images, then it is understandable. I don't suppose they sell many F6 bodies these days after all, and they are in the business of making money with digital systems - can you imagine the embarrassment if a film picture got on to the shortlist?

I can't, really. Well, let's assume picture taken with a film camera would be nominated. Do anyone sane could imagine amateurs dropping their kits in favour of 15 years old film SLR's (or anyone believes they would go straight to fully manual RF's from 50ies?) ? This would be the case to say "well, this is the photographer that makes picture, not camera" not the day X when Nikon and whole digital photography would start to vanish.

This contest is chatted dead on many forums, with conclusion some handy people should be able to construct legit looking EXIF to inject into .jpg
