I believe the F and rangefinder cassettes are interchangeable. The only Nikon cassettes that will not work are the AM1 for the F2 and the large ones for the 250 exposure back. Contax cassettes are just a little different and will not work. Watch e bay and they can be found from time to time at a good price. My Nikon S came with four cassettes and I used them in my F and S all thru college. Back then I loaned the S to a friend whose Petri SLR had died and he came back amazed by the 50mm f2.0 lens. Just a little update on my day off.

In currently awaiting a few items still,
I've had the chance to check out a 35/2.5 this week. I'm sending it back today, with the feeling I didn't really get the lens I paid for. Not a big deal, considering I have a 35/1.8 showing tomorrow.

I also scored a Zeiss 432/5 finder (3.5cm) for a very good price. It should be a nice combo on the S2 with 35/1.8 which I also managed at a nice price. We'll see when it arrives.

I'm anxiously awaiting the photorama show/swap this weekend, where I will hopefully be making the much awaited purchase of a black 50/1.4 from Igor.

Between the 35/1.8 and Igors 50/1.4, I'm having troubles sleeping with so much waiting!
Can't wait to get to shooting, this one roll I've managed through the S2, has got me chomping at the bit.
