Nikon S on Fleabay

That is a Nikon S2 Black Dial that was produced alongside the Nikon SP for a while. It is less common than the Chrome Dial, about a 4:1 ratio. The S2 is the best shooter for a 50mm lens, has a very bright RF patch. The years have been good to my S2 finders.

I would look to see the Nikon SP 2005 lusters selling off the S3-2000. No way any collector would part with 5 Nikon RF cameras for a new SP. If I start now, I can have enough for one on my 50th Birthday, 2yrs away.

Pherdi,
PM me when I hit 70. I will make you a great deal on a near mint condition Nikon SP! And you will need some lenses with it. An 8.5cm F2 is great with the SP 1x finder.

Until then, really enjoy those extra 20 years!

Brian

Oscar,
I will bet you my Nikon S3 with a 5cm f1.4 lens against your Canon P that I will be photographing (assume I am still alive) my 70th Birthday with Film in my Camera.

Film goes away completely, I send you my S3. Film around in 22 years, I get the "P". Seem Fair?

Great! Hey Joe, I got a Canon P on the way!!! And Oscar has turned to the darkside. I am a patient man.

That shipping will take even longer than Joe is usually complaining about.

Taffer - sorry but you've lost this, pal.

Nah, no loss Pherdi, that Canon P is in fact a Trojan horse, soon he'll no longer appreciate his non-Canon equipment and will send it to me just to relief his vision of all that useless stuff :p

Guess that chrome/black dial will go for 1K+ and appears to be in collector condition. I still use my old S2, but prefer the Tower 45 (Nicca 5) as a pocket camera..

So I'm the old guy on the block (85), and promise to stick around until film goes away!!

If only Silicon Filmworks had pulled it off; Digial Imaging in a film canister. They failed, and who knows if anyone else will even try.

I have yet to come across a camera that makes me forget the others; They all have their strong points.

And remember, With an Nikon S3 up against the Canon P, you are getting 4:1 Odds on what I know is a sure bet.
