When you buy an adapter that allows you to put your Nikon S lenses on Leica's do you have to get a specific Nikon S one or will a Contax one do as well? Knowing that Contax and Nikon S have a slightly different focusing helix does this difference also affect these adapters? Thanks

Do check the many threads on this subject here, aspecially those by brian Sweemey - as far as I can tell consensus seems to be that, altho they will need adjustment, these adapters willultimately work better with Nikon lenses, rather than Contax ones, because Nikon lenses use the same lens mount-film registration as Leica.

Thanks for that info. It just occurred to me though, if I only want to use these adapters with internal mount 50mm lenses, would it matter which adapter I use as the adapter uses its own focusing helix for these lenses regardless whether its a Nikon Contax or Russian lens? Or am I just way off track LOL
