Its the wrong picture at first, scrolls through the pics and you will see a black one thats the right picture. Black chrome dial.

Black with Chrome Dial and Chrome back makes it a Frankencamera, doesn't it. So a back from a chrome camera, and a dial from a chrome camera. How does that make it worth $4000?

I understand that the back is from a chrome camera. The baseplate will be chrome then. I would not be very happy with that camera.

Checked it again. It does not say black chrome dial. But 'black;chrome dial;chrome back'

"Black, chrome dial, chrome back" means that the camera is black, but of the chrome dial type. There is also a black S2 with a black dial; the "dial" is the distance ring around the lens mount.
People who can paint cameras can buy the camera and paint the bottom plate black. Then they have a complete black S2 with an original black top. Black S2's are extremely rare.

The distance scale should be chrome , the top controls are the early type painted black ,there are details to look for , if you have Robert rotolonis book it is helpful
There are many cameras painted black that are not the real deal ,
Not an issue if you know and are only looking for a shooter
The serial number is the only way to figure it out .
Keh is slim on details and the photos are not the actual item for sale .
The back is hard to paint , as the bottom plate is attached with rivets , a chrome back always seems to make a camera suspect
$4000 is a leap of fate thing .
Keh does take returns no questions asked I guess .
