Well, I just got my great-grandfather's Nikon S3 RF back from repair. My parents shipped it out to me in ID from NC and it arrived safely, fortunately. I had my Mom go to New Innovative Products, LLC, the makers of Starlight Cases, in Pine Level, NC before she shipped it and have it custom fit into a nearly indestructible case. I seriously recommend that company - my digital stuff is all protected by them and they're the nicest people in the world to work with; not to mention their cases are amazingly durable (manufactured above military spec).
Turns out the gear is as follows:
Nikon S3 RF body (#6313***)
Nikkor-S.C 5cm 1:1.4 (#50050***)
W-Nikkor.C 3.5cm 1:3.5 (#910***)
Nikkor-Q.C 13.5cm 1:4 (#904***)
Sekonic Multi-Lumi L-248 (#210***) - My Mom bought this for my Dad around 1989, I believe, so it's as old as I am (if not slightly older!). But I feel it's an adequate meter to carry into the field in lieu of a digital back to spare weight on long treks.
I do have a question - I don't have it loaded with a roll of film, but the film lever is counting at 34 shots. I can fire it and advance up to 35, but it won't go to 36 nor will it let me move it back to 1. Will it advance back to one when I load film? Is there some little gear that is turned by the notches in the film that "refreshes" my film count lever to 1?
Here's a short URL to my Flickr set of photos of my Nikon S3 & lenses!
