PM sent with details of pertinent dealers in the UK, with comments so not posted openly, they are my opinions and as such not perhaps a representative sample of experience.
Of course if the eventual owner wants to put it in a wood chipper that is always an option.
"Restored" was a bad word on my part earlier. "Serviced" is better.
I would think it would make no difference to the value of an s36 if it's working or not 🙂
think again.
Hi, I am a newbie and so not really sure what I am doing ( hence this post). I inherited a lot of camera equipment from my father. I don't want to be ripped off by camera shops and so I am interested in what people think they are worth (separately or together?) and/or the best way to get them valued ( honestly). Also where is best to sell them ( I am in the UK) Many thanks in advance Alan
As requested by a number of members ( and thanks to the moderators for letting me post them again). Happy to post any other angles by request 😄
Everything has value, but it is likely working, most do.
They work, but they were very finicky, the contacts to the battery were terrible.
Did you find the original camera back as well?
You're guessing right.I am guessing there is a back for the camera which was for the camera without the motor.
... To this day Leica still has not marketed a professional M series 35mm motor drive.[/QUOTE said:Didn't Leica NY have Don Goldberg's father design a motordrive for the M2? I seem to recall such a beast.

If Leica ever releases a pro-motor drive like the S-36 I'd buy TWO in a heartbeat. I do use two of the M motors that are really just 'winders'.

TY so much to mods for making the pics visible again.
Ragman, I'd suggest you find a buddy into photography and some period props, furniture or fabrics, picture frames etc, and get some serious portraits of this gorgeous thing before you let it go. 🙂
Also, this site has the eyes of many collectors upon it, so once you do have an idea of value, it's a great place to advertise such a thing. 🙂
