The pictures were removed by the moderators with the edit comment "post in classifieds" or something to that effect.
I'm not sure I understand exactly why - we can post pictures of our gear in various thread "Show off your Nikon RF"
I'll give the moderators a lot of slack and I do think there is something contextually different about people posting "I found a treasure, what do you think it is worth". rather that "look at my shiny newly acquired camera"
That said we are all adults and I don't see how this hurts the forum or its members to see these pictures

I would keep it but that's just me, it's got to be the ultimate Nikon rf outfit, very rare especially in the uk. We just don't get too see many Nikon rf here I've only handled three Nikon rfs and two of them were mine!

hmm. working and working right are two different things.
All of my SP motors had to be CLA'd, adjusted before they were working right. Likewise we have taken some in for repair which were unrepairable due to lack of parts.
Still, the SP motor was a remarkable professional tool for 1957. To this day Leica still has not marketed a professional M series 35mm motor drive.

Sorry but I am not sure what that is. I am guessing there is a back for the camera which was for the camera without the motor.
If that is true then the short answer is no. I never saw the camera without the motor and I have no idea where it would be.

Ragman, I'd suggest you find a buddy into photography and some period props, furniture or fabrics, picture frames etc, and get some serious portraits of this gorgeous thing before you let it go. 🙂
Also, this site has the eyes of many collectors upon it, so once you do have an idea of value, it's a great place to advertise such a thing. 🙂

the key word is professional.
There has never been a PROFESSIONAL quality motor for 35mm M series cameras.

Thank you. Good idea about the photos.
The issue I have about putting it onto any site for sale is that I have no idea how much to ask for it. I'm in a catch 22 situation. I just don't want to get ripped off. I also don't really like eBay and I get the sense it would be a little too specialist.
