I have a Nikon SP Original. The 28mm and 35mm framelines are very hard to see. Is this normal? The VF on the side with 50mm framelines is very clear.

There is a prism in the secondary finder that can deteriorate, and the framelines are etched-not projected. If the finder is clean and bright, the etched framelines could be faded. If the entire view is dim, probably the prism. A profrssional CLA/repair can help, it did for one of my original SP's.

I would bet a cleaning would take care of it...sometimes even just taking off the front plate and the glass in front of the viewfinder and cleaning with microfiber will do the trick. DIY job.

Is the wide angle finder cloudy? Its fairly common. A CLA may help, but there's parts of the wide angle finder that cannot be disassembled so are hard to/cannot be cleaned. First thing to try is cleaning the front glass.

Yep, I have tried to clean the wide angle vf. I cant even see the patch moving. The vf to the right is fine. The patch is contrasty enough to see. The camera only came with the 2.8cm f3.5 lens.
Who do you suggest in the USA for a cla?
