1.1mm thick, I have a friend who has all the tools and equipment for precise cuts, so he does the work. 🙂 I just provide the measurements and the blast cabinet!

Is the original just plain optical glass, or is it coated?
Plain, as is the replacement. Can do coated as well but the owner didn't want to spend more for coated.

i can do a comparison with M viewfinder glass, original vs coated, although not sure how to post a valid test...

What I am particularly interested in is: does this crack in the glass affect the view through the viewfinder very much or is it more of a cosmetic defect?

The location of this glass break affected the 28/35 view with an annoying shadow, the 50+ view was minimally affected on the left side while framing
