Seems Nikon is celebrating their 100th anniversary by eliminating their fine series about Nikkor lenses "Thousand and One Nights".
... or maybe Nikon is just redoing their nikkor.com website for the 100th anniversary. Lets wait and see.

Well my direct links to the individual stories get redirected to the general 100th anniversary site so I think that is all we can get. All searches within Nikon sites show no pages as well. Sad...that was a really nice feature of Nikon especially hearing stories of the creators of the lenses.
Yes, the entire http://www.nikkor.com/ website is gone and now there's just the top page and links to other corporate websites. Something is up. Its anybody's guess as to what.

I don't see the difficulty to navigate a vertical list of articles ordered by the newest on top but I got used to it pretty quickly.

That's OK if you only want those first ones, but if you want details on lenses/items not in the initial pages, it is not so easy.

This was an old thread and I am glad the site is up and available to read; I've "discovered" some Nikkors that I like and use to match my vision from these lens description. I've also had fun seeing how some favorite Nikkors were created and its always a good coffee read when a new one comes up. Enjoy
