Nikonos lens objective same/similar to RF lens objective?

I have a W-Nikkor 35mm f2.5 lens objective (S/N 206311), No "-C", plus a partial mount, which I suspect came from a Nikonos camera based on pictures. Are these objectives the same as for the Nikon rangefinder? It looks different (no bronze band, longer threads). I suspect the hard part to find is the lens barrel assembly, correct? Could this objective in an S-mount work on a Contax iia? I notice the Nikonos versions are pretty cheap, so I suspect not, but thought I would ask.

Yep, but focus will be slightly off, noticeable close up and wide-open.

Now, building a lens from the parts you have on hand, is another question...

Yes, building a lens from the objective is challenging. I think even the way the lens components of the objective is packaged is different.
