Thinking of buying an adapter for my S3 so that I could use a Nikon F 28mm f3.5 pre-ai, anyone else using F wides on their Nikon Rfs?
Cheaper than buying a 2.8cm S lens.

I have a Nikon 24mm 2.8 AI-S that I'm thinking of using on my M3 using an AIS-M adapter, will have to zone focus but at 24mm shouldn't be an issue.

only thing I realized though is that I don't have a 24mm Aux VF

ebay, just search nikon rangefinder adapter and you will find one, and i think the seller amedeo.m is also a member of this forum.

Cosina made a small series of F to S adapters some time ago. Works well with uncoupled lenses on the Nikon RF's. I primarily use it with the F-mount 12mm and 15mm Heliars and also with the Nikkor 21mm f4.0. It is a bit difficult to find bu worth the effort. I haven't seen the Amadeo version of it, but if it is similar quality as his other adapters it would b a good choice as his workmanship is top notch.

I have the very first Nikon F-S adapter that Amedeo Muscelli produced. He made it after I was unable to find one of the Cosina versions, and contacted him about making some for those of us Nikon rangefinder users who might want one. He agreed and made a prototype, and incredibly, insisted on shipping it to me for my approval before accepting payment.
It works very well, but because I have Cosina 25 and 21mm rangefinder lenses, I use it with my Vivitar 19 and 17mm Nikon-mount SLR lenses instead and have gotten very nice results with it.
Well worth the money if you want some extra versatility from your Nikon rangefinders.
