No love for my black M7...

The issue of the 0.58 is now clouded by the arrival of the CV 0.52 mag R4A with the parallax correcting VF for 21 & 25mm lenses. I an seriously evaluating if I can stick with my CV 25mm VF for the 24mm Elmarit or get one of these new CVs next year.
 
Don't sell, Andy. Don't sell unless you're "upgrading" to an MP. Just don't sell... and get the MP. On the other hand, their shutterspeed dials turn in different directions, so using them alternatively would mess you up. Don't sell... just give it to me while you ruminate. 🙂
 
Boy'o'boy, I am starting to get all constipated about this. I posted the M7 on craigslist (Phoenix) last night but, of course, no one ever looks there 🙂 (I sort of knew that - maybe I don’t really want to sell it… ?) I even started posting it on ebay but the darn thing crashed on me all the time (ebay side) despite a cable connection, so I gave up. Must be a sign…

I do like the black M7 more. It’s simply the coolest-looking, most pleasurable-to-use camera I’ve ever had (right before the G2). Maybe I should keep it… Well, I will leave the ad here for a while, see if any takers. No hurry, it's only a hobby 🙂
 
M7 chromes are preferred, over the black ones. I believe, for every five M7 that were made, only ONE was chrome, which somehow explains as to why your black M7 is currently not getting the love, it deserves.

I was there nice and comfortable in my existance and now you do this. M7 - Yes please!, 58 - Not sure but it would go well with the 25 and 28, Money - None but..... see below.

Just replied to your PM... yep, 0.58 is for the wider lenses, very comfy on the eyes.

Yes, 0.58 mag is for wide angles. Apart from a less magnified image in the VF you have more area outside the wide-angle framelines on a 0.58 mag. I have to say I was tempted by this myself but I think I'll wait for the Bessa R4A. That seems like a very interesting camera.
 
Since I shoot alot of wide angle and I like A mode and I have big gaaa ASS attack! I am going for it! just don`t tell my wife! 😀
 
A bit OT, but recently I offered my .72 mag M7 for sale here and on pnet. While I had several serious inquiries, the number of lowball and, imho, bad faith offers led me to pull the ad. Not fun responding to "I'll have the money in your paypal account in 10 minutes if you'll take $1200 for it" offers.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I think it's time to get out of that market.

Maybe keeping the camera isn't such a bad thing after all ... ;-))
 
I think $1800-$2000 is a fair price for M7's - I got mine for a decent price from Peter Kelly here on RFF and I'm happy as a lark 😀

Mike, I've had similar offers though nothing that low and had happily "resigned" myself to keeping the M7. Of course, the two offers I received today on this thread are great and one of them nothing short of amazing, so the M7 just may be going places. I'd say have patience, sooner or later a buyer will come along.
